JFDI join the Net Zero Champions initiative at the Brighton Chamber of Commerce

Our sustainability goals are always part of the culture and ecosystem at JFDI. We operate daily, 100% cloud-based. We take advantage wherever possible to consolidate, automate, and optimise operations, including using #Bobb, our automation and orchestration service, to reduce energy usage.

Being sustainability conscious, we have been carbon neutral since October 2021 and support others in their efforts towards a greener future. That’s why we are delighted to join the Net Zero Champions initiative and enjoy meet-ups with like-minded business owners and professionals where we discuss, plan and support sustainable initiatives in our local area.

On the first meet-up this year on 9th February, hosted by Barclays Eagle Lab, Brighton, We focused on looking retrospectively at our emissions before, during and after the pandemic. The group also had a chance to listen to significant initiatives at Plumpton College. Then we had a fantastic collaboration session on potential projects we could lead as a community. All this is in a tremendous atmosphere of people who want to improve our World.

JFDI will continue to join Net Zero Champions initiative members and look forward to being at the next one…

  • How JAF became Locodium

Before our first development framework existed, JFDI was building complex, long-lived business systems. Solutions for clients who needed more than quick wins or throwaway applications. Over time, we observed more and more patterns. Not theoretical, but practical ones shaped by maintenance, change, scale, and the benefit of getting early decisions correct.

  • The JFDI Agentic Development Manifesto

The promise of AI-assisted development is being squandered. Every day, developers paste enterprise code into generic AI tools and receive plausible-looking output that fails on contact with reality. Hallucinated APIs. Invented functions. Patterns that existed in training data but not in production. The industry has accepted a 50% rework rate as normal – and called it “productivity gain.”
