This Privacy Policy describes how the applications in the JFDI Planner Suite, developed and provided by JFDI Consulting Ltd, process and protect personal information.
It covers the suite as a whole. Each Planner also publishes its own Privacy Policy on its own site, describing the specific data that product reads and writes. Where the two differ in detail, the individual product policy is the authoritative one for that product — it is the policy presented at install and linked from the Microsoft Marketplace listing.
This policy applies to the Planner applications and their associated licensing services. It does not apply to the JFDI public website, which is covered by our website Privacy Policy, or to other JFDI products.
Because this page is hosted on jfdi.info, use of this website is also covered by our website Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. Those policies explain the website’s analytics, its advertising measurement and campaign attribution, the Analytics and Marketing choices, and how Global Privacy Control takes precedence over an earlier Marketing choice. They do not change what the installed Planner applications transmit or store.
The applications this covers
Further Planners are in development. Each publishes its own policy on its own site before release, and is covered by this suite policy from the day it ships.
Where your data lives
Every Planner is a SharePoint Framework (SPFx) solution that runs inside your organisation’s own Microsoft 365 tenant. There is no JFDI-hosted application tier between your users and their data.
All content created or read by a Planner is stored in your own SharePoint lists, within your own tenant. This means the retention policies, sensitivity labels, permission model, audit logging and eDiscovery rules your organisation already enforces apply to Planner data automatically, because it is ordinary SharePoint content.
JFDI Consulting Ltd does not hold a copy of your tenant’s data, and does not have access to it unless your organisation explicitly grants access for support purposes.
Information the applications process
The personal information a Planner handles is the information already present in the SharePoint lists it reads. Across the suite this typically includes:
The exact fields differ by product. Each product’s own policy sets them out precisely.
What leaves your tenant
One thing, and it contains no personal data.
Each Planner validates its licence through a secure, encrypted (HTTPS) call to the JFDI licensing service. That call carries your Microsoft 365 tenant ID and the application ID so we can confirm an active subscription. It does not carry user identities, list contents, file contents, or any other personal information.
Nothing else is transmitted. No Planner contains third-party tracking, analytics, advertising, or data-collection components. No data is sold, shared, or transferred to third parties.
Permissions
Planners operate entirely within the permissions the signed-in user already holds. A user can only see and change items they are already authorised to access in SharePoint, and every write is made using that user’s own identity — so SharePoint’s version history attributes changes to the person who made them, not to the application.
Granting someone access to a Planner does not grant them access to any content they could not already reach.
Authentication
Authentication is handled by Microsoft Entra ID, using your organisation’s existing sign-in, conditional access and multi-factor authentication policies. The Planners do not hold credentials, and there is no separate account to create or manage.
Your rights and your control
Because every Planner stores all of its information inside your Microsoft 365 tenant, your organisation retains complete control over retention, deletion, export and subject access. Responding to a data subject request involves the same SharePoint tooling you would use for any other content in the tenant.
You can remove any Planner at any time. The underlying SharePoint lists and their contents remain in your tenant unless your organisation deletes them.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the way the suite handles information changes. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Individual product policies carry their own revision dates.
