These Terms of Use govern your organisation’s use of JFDI web parts, developed and provided by JFDI Consulting Ltd. By installing, accessing, or using a JFDI web part in your Microsoft 365 environment, you agree to these Terms.
These Terms cover the web parts listed below and any others that link to this page. The JFDI Planner Suite applications are covered by their own Planner Suite Terms of Use instead.
Overview
Each JFDI web part is a SharePoint Framework (SPFx) solution designed to operate within Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online, deployed to your own tenant App Catalog, and in some cases also to Microsoft Teams. These Terms apply to the web parts and their related licensing services, and not to other JFDI Consulting Ltd products, services or public websites.
Licence and usage rights
- Each web part has its own licensing arrangements, described on its product page or Microsoft commercial marketplace listing.
- Where a web part has a free tier, that tier is permanently free and needs no licence assignment. Your organisation must maintain an active licence to use features above that tier.
- Where a web part offers a trial, its product page or listing sets out the duration and features available.
- Licence checks send your tenant ID and product ID with the signed-in user’s Entra token to our licensing service over HTTPS, as described in the Web Parts Privacy Policy.
- You may use each web part within your Microsoft 365 tenant for the number of licensed users permitted under your subscription.
Data handling and ownership
- Web parts run inside your organisation’s Microsoft 365 tenant, acting as the signed-in user and within that user’s existing permissions.
- Business content remains in your Microsoft 365 tenant or the user’s browser. My Sites caches site results and display preferences in browser storage. When a user follows or unfollows a site through My Sites, it updates their SharePoint following preferences rather than site content. Licensing information is sent to JFDI for licence checks and seat management, as described in our Web Parts Privacy Policy.
- JFDI Consulting Ltd does not receive your business content through licence checks. Any access to tenant content for support requires your organisation’s authorisation.
- Your organisation retains ownership and control of its business content.
User responsibilities
You agree that:
- You will use the web parts in compliance with applicable laws and your organisation’s internal policies.
- You are responsible for approving the API permissions a web part requests, and for managing access to the SharePoint sites and content it uses.
- You will not attempt to modify, decompile, reverse-engineer, or circumvent any part of the web parts or their licensing.
Support and updates
- JFDI Consulting Ltd may provide updates, improvements, or patches to any web part from time to time.
- Each web part’s product page carries its feature detail. Our product support desk covers the whole portfolio.
- Any support agreement your organisation holds with JFDI Consulting Ltd sets out the applicable channels and response commitments.
- Continued use of a web part requires applying updates when provided.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- JFDI Consulting Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use any web part.
- Liability is limited to the fees paid for the applicable licence term.
Termination
- A paid licence may be terminated if your SaaS subscription lapses or is cancelled.
- On termination, a web part with a free tier reverts to that tier; paid features are hidden and nothing in your tenant is deleted.
- If a web part is uninstalled, any SharePoint content it created remains in your tenant unless deleted by your organisation.
